About Pattye
Pattye is a retired RN whose focus was Adult and Pediatric Oncology. The job could be stressful at times and baking and birding became a source of peace and joy for her. She also love to entertain, so it was no surprise when she began to bake and decorate bird cookies for tea parties.
After she retired, she became a volunteer facilitator for Good Grief of Northwest Ohio, a nonprofit that provides support for grieving children, teens, young adults, and their families, who have experienced the death of someone significant in their lives.
In 2018, she held a fall fundraiser, baking cookies and donating 100% of the proceeds to Good Grief. That initial fundraiser raised $800! Based on that success, she repeated the fundraiser in 2019 and raised $1,800!
Now, she's grown it into a small home baking business, and PattyeBakes Cookies still donates all proceeds to Good Grief.
Total donations to Good Grief of Northwest Ohio in 2022 was over $3,500
To date as of December 2022, thanks to community support, I have been able to raise over $17,500 for Good Grief
